In the Community

We are proud to be involved in such a wide array of community events and programs. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages, where we’ll be sharing specifics of how we strive to help and be an integral part of the Wilmington and Hillsboro communities.

Annual Community Involvement

Hollidazzle Parade

Wilmington Savings Bank participates in the Clinton County Hollidazzle Parade every year. We spend time creating a float for our employees to ride on and travel in the festive Christmas Parade that travels through Wilmington’s Downtown.

Community Egg Hunt

The Wilmington Public Library hosts the Community Egg Hunt every year around Easter time. You will find Wilmington Savings Bank with a tent set up in the park handing out treats and coloring books for all of the children participating.

Shred-It Day

Your identity and information are important to us. We want you to have an opportunity to safely dispose of documents and keep your personal information away from identity thieves. That’s why Wilmington Savings Bank offers its free to the community, Annual Shred-It Day in April!

Chocolate Walk – Hillsboro

Our Wilmington Savings Bank’s Hillsboro branch participates in the Uptown Chocolate Walk every year. Come by our lobby and enjoy tasty chocolate treats. It’s a fun event put on by the Hillsboro Uptown Business Association.

While it’s fun to donate canned food to the Clinton-County Homeless Shelter, it’s even more fun if you create something spectacular using those cans first! We participate in the CANstruction competition and are able to donate a large number of cans every year.

Corn Festival – Corn Olympics

Every year, on top of our donation to the Clinton County Corn Festival, WSB also sends a team to participate in the Corn Olympics. We love being involved and having fun with our community year after year.

New Student Move-In Day

Wilmington Savings heads over to Wilmington College at the beginning of the school year and participates in their Move-In Day. We set up our booth and help new students understand their finances and offer to help in any way they need.

Dinner in the Fields

This fundraising event is put on by The Clinton County Leadership Institute and helps to support their yearly programing. WSB donates as well as participates in this fun event that includes delicious food, live entertainment, and games.

Trunk – or – Treat

Wilmington Savings Bank dresses up and helps pass out candy to all of the trunk-or-treaters at the Park in Wilmington to celebrate Halloween.

Trunk or Treak

Every year, Wilmington Savings Bank gives a scholarship to four local high schools. One graduating senior from Wilmington, Hillsboro, Clinton Massie, and East Clinton will receive a one-time scholarship of $500. The scholarship is given to a student whose GPA is in the top 10% of the graduating class, who exhibits positive characteristics of leadership, motivation, and teamwork, and who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education after graduation. The guidance counselors and teachers of those schools help to determine which of their students fit these criteria.
